Christ-faces Aleksandra worked very fast. Aleksandra's former neighbour Riia Tulonen from Putula tells that when as a kid she was willing to get her own "flower of life", she was standing in Aleksandra's home her knees trembling. She was amazed when the artist closed her eyes and with quick circular motions filled the paper. Riia was nervous will the stalk and the flower find their place. She was very happy with the picture she got. The so called Christ-faces, or face of Christ, Aleksandra did for the celebrations of her neighbours and those close to her, weddings for instance. She drew the flower of life to whoever visited her. In the collection of her work, there's many flowers dedicated to great people around the world. Many have discussed can art be healing. Some people believe that Ionowa's art has healing qualities. It heals by giving strenght. Every work lifts the mind of the viewer. In every painting, there is light present.
